GCCC's flagship Varian ProBeam® proton therapy system delivers high-dose beams with ±0.5mm precision targeting tumors while significantly reducing damage to surrounding normal tissues. Proton therapy sessions last 15-30 minutes per working day. The hospital also performs comprehensive cancer surgery including robotic-assisted thoracic surgery, laparoscopic gastrointestinal cancer resection, precision breast cancer surgery, and interventional oncology procedures (radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, particle implantation).

Notable Physicians
Prof. Fu Shen (傅深), Chief Radiation Oncologist of Concord Medical, is the founding department director of the Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center and a former member of the Academic Committee of the Proton Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prof. Li Zuofeng (李左峰), Chief Proton Physicist, is the former Physics Director of the Proton Center at the University of Florida and a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM).
